Cute Coin Purses
While my sister was visiting recently, we swooned at a great Eugene fabric shop, Piece by Piece, during their second birthday party. My little buddy and I had gone a year ago to their 1st birthday party and he wouldn't have missed the cupcakes for the world. We had a great time! I picked out a few fun fabrics and checked out when I saw a pattern on the other end of the counter. I snatched one up and got back in line to buy it. I have loved making all 16 that I have done so far. I hope you find one that you like at the Bliss Handmade Boutique.
I have given a few away already and the uses others have reported so far include gift-card holder, little wallet, mini first-aid kit, and weekend jewelry traveler. I'm sure you'll find it indispensable as well. Plus, super darn cute.

Laundry Sets
One of my favorite toys of the past year are these laundry sets. My husband's grandmother made them for many children during her life and I was fortunate enough to get the pattern. My children have had hours of fun ironing the flat clothes smooth with a wooden toy iron on an ironing board just their size and then hanging them on a clothesline strung between two chairs. They love it! And I love it because it's battery-free, silent, absorbing and meditative in the way the best toys are. They learn some skills, but mostly it's fun to pretend like they are helping daddy's shirt get smooth for Sunday or hanging up Mommy's pajamas. I'm excited to share these with other like-minded parents. This Laundry Set (available at the Bliss Handmade Boutique) will include the clothes you see here (fabric prints may vary), an ironing board to lay on the table or couch, a wooden iron, and a basket to hold everything together.

Launch!
Hello Friends!
I'm excited to be starting on my Christmas presents early. Many of my family members know I have a history of taking on large projects (usually several at a time) and sometimes finishing them with difficulty right before the season of gift giving, or sometimes not finishing them, which is why I have earned the nickname "Christmas Crunch." This year I am participating with several friends in a holiday boutique, which is why I have been inspired to start early and work diligently. Here are a few of the things I'm working on, with more to come! If you see something you like and you want me to put it next to your name when I'm making my list and checking it twice, just let me know. But be sure to put in your order early, so it doesn't become an April Fool!
